PCH Cruise - South

Another weekend, another Great get together. Joe organized an awesome trip for us. The plan was to meet at the donut shop and leave between 7 and 730. . My alarm clock and I haven't been getting along very well so I rolled in at about 6:45. About an hour late by Donut Derelict standards. I'd say we made quite an impression while leaving the donut shop though. Novas for days and again we took the place over!!!

We headed south to Newport to have some breakfast at Ruby's via PCH. The breakfast was great and was nice to sit down and BS for a while. Someone ordered a shake for breakfast. I wont mention any names though.

I left ahead of the group so I could shoot some photos along the route. We had a nice mix of cars. A real nice 2 door Chevelle wagon, a couple of nice Camaros and a sweet looking yellow El Camino.

To be continued.....

Costal Cruise - North

On Saturday May 12 several of us got together for a nice run up to Ventura for a cruise through Ojai, lake Casitas and on back down to the coast via 101.

Earlier that morning a few of us met at the donut shop before we headed up. The place was packed. GM had the convertible Camaro there and it drew quite a crowd. From there we fueled the cars and headed north.

Somewhere along the way Melanie started taking a few pics. We couldn't help ourselves with this one. Look at Mark, you know he was looking in the corner of that mirror to see what the Sheriff was up to.

We met at the Barnes an Noble where Bob and Erich had a nice run planed for us. Ill pick this up later......OK, Ive finally got a few Min's to finish this up. Before we headed for the hills we hit the chevron /car wash to fuel up and grab a soda. I swear we took that place over. It looked like Angelo's on a Friday night back in the late 80's. Minus the Anglias and Blown Vegas of course.

Heading toward Ojai the scenery was awesome. Melanie and I saw a few deer, a buffalo and even a flattened species of some sort.

The view at the lake was bitchen. All the cars were lined up off the side of the road so it was a good time to catch a photo or two.

No, that's not my Dad out on the lake throwing a drop shot at that record bass. Dad and I have spent many a Saturday's on this lake. It brought back many memories of our days out on the bass boat.

Can you say lunch time? Yeah I was hungry and couldn't wait to get to Andreas ( I think that's the name ) for some Fish and Chips and a cold beer!!!!!!

All and all it was a great day. Aside from Chris having an oil leak, Dale having issues with his starter and Christian loosing his air bags on the way home, the day proved to me that because of the cars we own and the people we meet because we have em makes these little ChevyII/Novas even more valuable to us than they are on paper.

See ya at the next one!!!!
